Single Or Dual Zone Wine Refrigerators - For Wine At The Perfect Temperature

Properly storing and serving wine at just the right temperature means it must be kept in the right environment, at the right temperature; this is why wine refrigerators had to be invented.

Wine coolers – like any other refrigerators – rely on a compressor system or on a thermoelectric system that keeps the temperature low. Compressors have the disadvantage of being noisier while thermoelectric systems are quieter and also environment-friendly, using less energy.

As with many other types of refrigeration appliances, wine refrigerators are frequently designed to be either  built-in or free-standing. Either way the exterior designs make them very smart-looking and most models nowadays are provided with a digital system to control the temperature inside. They have become quite fashionable so prices are not as high as some might imagine. Manufacturers are obviously interested in selling as many as possible in order to gain profit, so the price range has to stay within affordability limits.

Wine coolers may be either single-zone or dual-zone. Some, like the WCR5403SS, which is an Avanti single-zone wine refrigerator, are made for storing a few dozen bottles of just one type of wine: red or white. People who drink both white and red wine know that the two types should be stored at different temperatures, and in this case the best choice is to get a dual zone wine refrigerator. This type of wine cooler has two separate compartments in which temperature can be easily adjusted independently from each other. Many of the refrigerators have a bottle racking system that allows the bottles to be be slid out easily and elegantly so wine connoisseurs can enjoy the preview of what awaits them in the future when selecting one bottle out of the many inside the cabinet.

As for the size of wine refrigerator that’s right for you, there are several factors to consider. First, if you know that you are a constant party thrower or you regularly invite wine drinkers over, you should take into account the capacity of the wine refrigerators that you are considering. Some wine refrigerators can store only a few bottles, say 12 bottles or even less inside. The Avanti WCR5403SS mentioned above can hold 54 bottles, while others can go up to 700 bottles. If you have not owned a wine cooler before, you should know that it is recommended to buy a wine cooler that provides more space inside than you think would be necessary. Many people find that after they buy the refrigerator, they become more excited about growing their collection of wine, and the space can fill up fast. The size of the internal racks might also be a factor you’d want to consider. The racks and the space between them also should be designed such that they can store other types of bottles that exceed the regular wine bottle size range – champagne bottles for instance – if you intend to use the wine refrigerator for any of these other items.

line." "We made very clear that the United States will not tolerate the
blocking of the Straits of Hormuz," Panetta said. "That's another red line for
us and that [...]
