Cool PC Components
From cheap HP laptop computers. Yes, it is indeed cool seeing all those electronic components come together to create a Personal Computer. But the 'cool' in the title refers to the system that you have installed to keep the temperature of the Computer at a minimum. If you own a personal Desktop Computer in your home then you probably know the importance of keeping the whole PC system cool. Heat is probably one of the most dangerous elements to your Desktop Computer.
Your Desktop Hardware can be cooled with the simple fans and having cooling vents in your Desktop case. There are, however, some cooling systems that use special liquids to keep the processor heat down so performance and overall integrity of the Components is not compromised. The level of cooling system that you use on your personal Desktop Computer depends on how insane your Components, how insane you customized your components and how insane you are using your personal Computer. The more work you do with your Desktop the harder the Computer components work and the more you need some coolant to keep the heat at or below the threshold.
Now for bigger systems like Computer networks of big companies, you'll find that they use a more extreme cooling system. Now these big Desktop Computer networks use big servers that need to have a sustained temperature of around 72 to 76 degrees Fahrenheit. Plus the humidity should be maintained as well. According to experts, an ideal humid environment should be 45 degrees. One could go to up to 60 percent that anything beyond that is totally unacceptable. And of course, these cooling systems should be capable of running round the clock and should have backup power supplies in case of the primary breaks down. You cannot afford to loose all your company data due to something that you could have prevented in the first place.
Housing your large components like big Desktop Computer servers needs some planning as well since the structure itself can be designed to allow the free flowing of cool air which adds to maintaining the temperature at low levels. Consider having mesh front and rear doors for server cabinets since the design allows hot air to freely escape from the server.
Some who can afford install chiller systems which use glycol or plain water coolants. These kinds of cooling system for your Computer Components are made up of combinations of chillers, pumps and pipes. With this system you will need a bigger space and regular maintenance is absolutely necessary.
Is this cool or what?

Building my own computer...case/power supply question.?
I've always been into computers, started taking them apart and puting them back together in the 6th grade or so. Once I hit highschool my focus changed to football and other highschool related things, but now that I'm out on my own I've started back to computer repairs (mainly on my own computer =/)
Anyways-I've decided to build my own computer since I never had the funds to build an entire computer before. I'm not looking to do anything ridiculous, just a normal computer for every day needs. I'm wanting to use a AMD 64 3000+ & nForce Motherboard (AMD Sempron), I've got the hard drive/dvd drives picked out as well, but I'm not sure what to do for the case and Power supply?
I've replaced Power Supplys before-but I've always just gotten the one that was compatible for my computer. How can I tell what case/power supply will work with the setup I've picked out?
Thanks!
well for the case i suggest Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail for 110 dollars

Google’s Schmidt: ‘Global mind’ offers new opportunities (MIT)
A “global mind” comprising humans and computers offers huge opportunities for
informed decision-making, democratization of information, and world-wide
problem solving, Google Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt said at the MIT Sloan
School of Management Tuesday.
Schmidt said the rapid accumulation of data will push people to find better
ways to solve global problems, with new, faster technology to back them up.
“The world will organize into things that people are good at and things that
computers are good at,” Schmidt said. “Think of them as aids. They’re our best
friends, our best help. They know where we’ve been and they’ll make
suggestions for where we go.”
**A good thing? **
Schmidt said such a human-computer relationship would ultimately be positive
for society, except in the case of “robotics and war.” In response to a
student’s reference to the movie “The Terminator,” Schmidt said that fears of
computers becoming too powerful or too intelligent are overstated. Instead, he
said, people will continue to harness the power of collective information to
make better decisions, whether in business, politics or their personal lives.
